What will the costs be for a personal and premises licence? Will they be two separate fee’s?

License costs have yet to be determined, although it is probable that the fee will reflect recovery costs associated with review and inspection. We consider that personal and premises licenses should be charged separately, as this will permit a practitioner with a personal license to seek work at one or more establishments with the appropriate premises license.

Will there be annual fees and will I be inspected every year by the council?

The cost and frequency of the licence has not yet been decided. However, we expect that both the premises and practitioner licenses will require annual renewal subject to a fee and it is likely that this will involve inspection and the provision of evidence. Inspection may also be carried out on an unannounced basis, for instance in response to a complaint or concern.
